#FRC DRIVER STATION LOG VIEWER MATCH NUMBER DRIVERS#
For the remainder of the match, drivers control their robots and try to maximize their alliance score by scoring as many goals as possible. During this period, each disc scored is worth double the amount of points of their respective goals.

The match begins with a 15 second autonomous period. Discs scored on the highest goal are worth 3 points each, the middle goal: 2 points each, and the lowest goal: 1 point each. Located at each end of the field are four goals at varying heights robots can score points by shooting discs into any of these four goals. Ultimate Ascent is played on a 27′ by 54′ field. The team with the greatest amount of points at the end of the game is the winner.

Higher points are also awarded to alliances who are able to throw and catch the ball over the central obstacle known as the “Truss”. The greater the number of assists, the greater the number of points. In this year’s game of Aerial Assist, points are awarded to robots that score exercise balls in their correct goal. Teams may earn additional points by working together with their alliance and passing the ball from team to team before scoring. The alliance with the most points will be declared the winner.Īerial Assist is played between two opposing teams: the Red & Blue Alliance. Each alliance is composed of three robots that are designed and built by high-school FIRST Robotics teams. There are multiple ways for each alliance to earn additional points, including co-opertition. Alliances compete simultaneously to score points by stacking Totes on Scoring Platforms, capping those stacks with Recycling Containers, and properly disposing of Litter, represented by pool noodles, in designated locations. It is played by two Alliances of three Teams each. RECYCLE RUSH is a recycling-themed game designed for the 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). A win is determined by comparing total match points between alliances at the end of the match. Each alliance commands one tower, five defenses, and a ‘secret passage’ which allows their robots to restock on ammunition, called boulders. They score points by crossing elements of their opponents’ outer works, scoring boulders in their opponents’ tower goals, and surrounding and scaling their opponents’ tower itself. Alliances compete against each other to breach their opponents’ defenses, known as outer works, and capture their tower. The alliance with the greater number of points is declared the winner.įIRST STRONGHOLD is played by two alliances of three teams each. Robots must latch on to their airship before launch (the end of the match) by ascending their ropes to signal that they’re ready for takeoff. Once the gear train is complete, they turn the crank to start the rotor. Robots deliver gears to pilots on their airship for installation. Boilers turn fuel into steam pressure which is stored in the steam tank on their airship – but it takes more fuel in the low-efficiency goal to build steam than the high-efficiency goal. Robots collect fuel (balls) and score it in their boiler via high and low-efficiency goals. Each three-team alliance prepares in three ways: 1. After a 15 second Autonomous period, drivers control their robot, the alliance with the greater number of points at the end is declared the winner.įIRST® STEAMWORKS, the 2017 FIRST® Robotics Competition game, invites two adventurers’ clubs, in an era where steam power reigns, to prepare their airships for a long distance race. Team may preload up to one power cube per robot. To escape, alliances use power cubes to control switches and a scale, pass power cubes through the exchange for powerups and ascend to face the boss. Two alliances of video game characters and the human operators are trapped in an arcade game.
